Farscape (season 2)

“May your afterlife be almost as pleasant as mine.”

In “The Way We Weren’t” it’s revealed that Aeryn was previously on Moya when she was a Peacekeeper — when the previous pilot was killed and the current Pilot was brought on board. In “Out of Their Minds” the ship is attacked and everyone on board finds themselves in someone else’s body. In “My Three Crichtons” a sphere of energy penetrates the ship, eventually producing two sort-of duplicates of John.

Farscape season 2 originally aired in 2000-01. It starts up where season 1 left off, with the main characters separated and in danger from Scorpius and Crais.

I heard that season 2 was better than season 1 so I gave it another shot. But it continues to be mediocre, even the 3-part episode in the middle of the season. I watched more than half of season 2 before I gave up.

One aspect of the show that doesn’t do it for me is the humour. It tries to be humorous much of the time, but I don’t find it that funny.

The look of the show is great, and the actors are probably great, but I didn’t find the stories as compelling as I wanted them to be.

It’s not a bad show — it’s just mediocre. I want to watch great shows.

If this series grabs you more than me for some reason, go for it. But I’m moving on. I’ve already found a better show — it’s called Wonderfalls.
