Star Trek: The Fall — The Crimson Shadow

{4.5/5} Star Trek: The Fall — The Crimson Shadow by Una McCormack, published in 2013

Mhevet, a Cardassian police officer, is not happy she’s been assigned a murder case — a Bajoran man. She’s worried about what some thugs are up to in the rough part of town, and would rather be keeping an eye on them. Meanwhile the Cardassian Ambassador to the Federation — Garak — has returned home. If you’re a fan of Garak this is the book for you. It’s a book about the Cardassian people, who are deciding what kind of people they want to be. It’s a story that feels very real, because it could happen anywhere.

I previously reviewed McCormack’s novel Brinkmanship.
