The Zero Theorem

{4/5} “Putting the ‘you’ back in utopia.”

The Zero Theorem, released in 2013

Qohen’s work is crunching entities — he’s now working on the zero theorem, which Management specifically asked him to work on. But he was fairly crazy before — for example, he talks about himself in the plural — and working on this project is driving him crazier. He’s waiting for a phone call from a person who will tell him the meaning of life. Terry Gilliam’s (Brazil) latest movie is fairly bizarre, but the visuals and performances are terrific. As for the story, there were parts I liked and other parts I didn’t care for — like the ending. Christoph Waltz and David Thewlis star.
