Star Trek: The Fall — The Poisoned Chalice

{4.5/5} Star Trek: The Fall — The Poisoned Chalice by James Swallow, published in 2013

After “the shot heard round the galaxy” the Titan is recalled to Earth and Captain William Riker is promoted to Rear Admiral. He’s not sure the promotion is a good thing, especially when he begins to suspect that someone in the Federation president’s office is using their power illegally and lying to the people. The book is about defying orders to do the right thing. Captain Picard, Deanna Troi, Tuvok, Nog, and Thomas Riker all show up this time. When this book ends you’ll want to start the next one right away.

I previously reviewed book 3 in this series, A Ceremony of Losses.
