Argo

{4.5/5} “This is the best bad idea we have, sir. By far.”

Argo, released in 2012

Enraged Iranians storm the US Embassy in Tehran in 1979. Six Americans escape and end up at the Canadian ambassador’s house. They can’t stay there forever, and they can’t go out into the streets. Tony Mendez of the CIA comes up with a bold plan: make the six Americans part of the crew for a fake science fiction movie called Argo. Although it’s a serious situation overall, there are some fun parts. Like Apollo 13, even though you know the ending it’s still exciting. Ben Affleck and John Goodman star. Directed by Ben Affleck.

I previously reviewed Affleck’s movie The Town.
