{3.5/5} “I’d love to indulge your feelings, but I am dealing with a slightly larger picture right now. Now, you can exercise your responsibility to help your fellow man or I will exercise that responsibility for you.”

Next, released in 2007

Cris can see two minutes into his own future. He tries to have as normal a life as possible, but the FBI catches up to him. They want him to find a stolen nuclear missile — he just wants to be left alone. The only time he saw further ahead than two minutes was when he saw Liz. Now his priorities have changed slightly. I liked most of the movie, but the more I think about it the lower my rating gets. The premise isn’t followed consistently, and Cris’s wooing of Liz is a bit unsavory. Nicolas Cage and Julianne Moore star.

Directed by Lee Tamahori (The Edge).

This is the second time I’ve seen it.
