In 2680 AD in the city state of Mak humans and apes are living together relatively peacefully. Then the lawgiver is killed by a human with a machine gun — a weapon no one has seen in 500 years. Alaya and Sullivan, ape and human, were brought up together and both called the lawgiver “grandfather.” Now they are both in positions of power, but the two sides are quickly becoming more and more antagonistic. If you can’t wait until the next movie for some Planet of the Apes fun, pick up this set of graphic novels. The story will keep you turning the pages. This a great series set in time period different than the movies when anything can happen.
I previously read and reviewed the first book in this set.
