Romantics Anonymous

{5/5} “I’m sorry but it won’t work. I love you and I know you love me. But it’s a recipe for disaster. We’ll get to know each other, warts and all. We’ll annoy each other, stop communicating, and end up hating each other.”

Romantics Anonymous, released in 2010

Angélique is a chocolate maker. But she’s scared of everyday things like talking to people. She finds a support group, which helps. She applies for a new job but it turns out to be a sales job, which she doesn’t think she’ll be good at. She’s about to tell the boss about the mistake when the boss asks her out to dinner. This is a French movie, and it’s a romance unlike any other you’ve seen. It’s also hilarious.

Directed by Jean-Pierre Améris (Marie’s Story).
