Colombiana
{4.5/5} “Never forget where you came from.”
Colombiana, released in 2011
Cataleya is only nine years old when her parents are killed. She moves from Colombia to the US to stay with her uncle and she immediately tells him she wants to be a killer. Fifteen years later, she’s got a plan to kill the man who ordered her parents killed. I’m not big on revenge stories in general, but this one kept me watching. Amandla Stenberg does a fantastic job playing young Cataleya — as much as I was awaiting Zoe Saldana’s appearance on screen I also wanted to see more of Stenberg.
Directed by Olivier Megaton (Taken 2).
