Dead Like Me: Life After Death
{4.5/5} Dead Like Me: Life After Death, aired in 2009
Rube has passed on, and the grim reapers have a new boss. Instead of post-it notes they now have cell phones. George has gotten better at both of her jobs. Meanwhile Joy has written a book and helps grieving families, and Reggie is learning to drive. This movie was shot 5 years after the series. Recasting Daisy was a mistake — they should have created a new character instead. Apart from that and the absence of Rube, fans of the series will like this movie. There are no loose ends to wrap up from the series — it’s more of a “more adventures with friends” show.
Directed by Stephen Herek (Mr. Holland’s Opus).
I previously reviewed season 2.

I watched this again — aside from the inconsistent character of Daisy, this is a worthy follow-up to the series.
