Motive (season 4)
{4.5/5} “And stop betting on whether I will actually go on vacation, because I am on vacation.”
Oscar is now staff sergeant and in charge of the team. He and Betty are a couple now. Mitch Kenneck joins the team but he’s the son of a policeman and he’s a bit cocky. When Betty discovers an unknown virus in one of her subjects she institutes a quarantine — and finds out she’s infected. Just when Angie is about to go on vacation, someone comes into the station with a bomb on her chest and takes everyone hostage.
This is the last season — they certainly could have done more. The series ends in fine fashion, with both Angie and Oscar making choices about their future.
In one episode there’s an outbreak of a deadly virus, kind of like what happens in one of the recent X Files episodes — but in Motive it’s handled much more realistically.
The series ends with a 2-part episode that advances the story 3 years.
Jon Heder and Joanna Cassidy guest star in one episode each.
I previously reviewed season 3.
