Bridget Jones’s Baby

{4.5/5} “Hello, you. Is that your ear or your foot? You have got very big feet. Oh, look at you. Waving already. You’re the best thing I’ve ever seen.” — Bridget, to her unborn baby

Bridget Jones’s Baby, released in 2016

Bridget Jones is 43. She has a nice apartment, a decent job, and good friends. Just when she’s decided not to worry about finding herself a boyfriend, she discovers she’s pregnant. Unfortunately she’s not sure who the father is — former longtime boyfriend Mark Darcy or new fling Jack, who happens to be a millionaire.

I haven’t seen a Bridget Jones movie in years but I did enjoy the first two.

This one isn’t one of the funniest movies ever, but it is funny — you’ll want to watch it if you’re a fan of the others. It’s full of the awkward and absurd situations you’ve come to expect.

It’s just the thing to cheer you up.

Stars Renée Zellweger, Colin Firth, and Patrick Dempsey. Directed by Sharon Maguire (Bridget Jones’s Diary). The soundtrack is full of pop songs appropriate to various moments.
