Maybe Democrats shouldn’t impeach Trump

I was under the impression that Donald Trump as president was a unique threat to the US and that since there are several good reasons for him to be impeached they should get right on it. As for Mike Pence, who will become president if Trump goes away, I figured he was a more run-of-the-mill horrible Republican.

David Brin makes the argument that Pence would be worse than Trump as president — basically Pence wants everyone to follow the rules of his religion. Brin also makes the argument that Democrats shouldn’t do the impeaching — they should leave it up to the Republicans, as then any push back goes to them. You have to click on 1 or 2 of the links to get the whole argument.

He also has some fantastically clever suggestions — hopefully they will find their way to some forward thinking politician.

Don’t Impeach! Plus appraising GOP proposed legislation — and why is he really in Saudi Arabia?

An alternate viewpoint: Impeach Trump and don’t worry (much) about President Mike Pence. We already have him.
