The problem with the Democratic Party
The main difference between lawmakers in the Democratic Party and those in the Republican Party is that Democrats want to do good things for the country. They’re far far better than the Republicans, every one of whom should be out of a job and a pariah for the rest of their life. On the other hand, the Democrats aren’t perfect either. Ralph Nader, one of the smartest guys around, has some suggestions (or, to put it another way, complaints) for them. Hopefully they’ll listen.
Jon Schwarz at The Intercept has interviewed Nader, and you can see it here:
His complaints include Democrats taking money from corporations (which he points out started in 1979), not learning how to deal with Reagan (who was a different kind of Republican), and campaigning by slogans rather than policy.
