Try sanctioning Trump instead of the US

Governments around the world dealing with the current US administration need to think outside the box. This is not a normal administration. Scott Gilmore in Maclean’s has come up with a brilliant idea. Pointing out that Trump failed to divest himself of his business interests, contrary to all other presidents before him, Gilmore suggests these are the only things Trump cares about: his family and his wealth. Canada could get together with other countries and put pressure on Trump’s interests in a few different ways.

Why couldn’t we do this? It’s not the way things are done. That doesn’t matter. Pretending that it is in any way reasonable for Trump to be president is unreasonable. I hope this article finds its way to people who can make use of it:

Trade sanctions against America won’t work. Sanctioning Trump himself might.
