The media gave on the order of $2 billion worth of free advertising to Donald Trump during the campaign of 2 years ago. Here’s an article about this from The New York Times:

Since the media helped elect the worst president in history, they should be doing everything they can to redeem themselves. Here’s an article from HuffPost that points out that the media should be reminding people every day that Donald Trump is not a normal president — that he’s violating norms that perhaps shouldn’t be violated.

How Should The Media Cover Donald Trump?

When Trump attacks the media, the media needs to act as one against him. In particular, Trump is barring certain members of the media from events just for doing their job, for asking questions. Here’s an article from The Guardian that contains an idea about how to stop this: the media could boycott one of the White House’s pointless events. As the article says, “Denying media oxygen to Trump is this president’s equivalent of solitary confinement.”
