Star Trek: TNG — Q are Cordially Uninvited…

{4.5/5} “It’s not easy having relationships with people when you’re intrinsically so much more interesting than everyone else.” — Q

Q are Cordially Uninvited… by Rudy Josephs, published in 2014

Jean-Luc Picard and Beverly Crusher are finally getting married. Q shows up and sends Picard and Vash to Myndra to search for the fabled Treasure of the Ancients. Supposedly the Myndrans stole treasure from many pre-warp civilizations across the galaxy. When Beverly finds out that Jean-Luc is missing she has her own idea about how to find him.

This is a novella that’s only available as an ebook.

Officially Jean-Luc and Beverly got married quietly in France a few years ago, but unbeknownst to everyone else they were whisked away on an adventure the night before.

It’s an enjoyable tale — the characters feel like themselves, and Q is hilarious in several spots.

This is the 1st story by Josephs that I’ve read.
