Mission: Impossible — Rogue Nation

{5/5} “Are you OK to drive? A minute ago you were dead.”

Mission: Impossible — Rogue Nation, released in 2015

Ethan Hunt has been pursuing a terrorist organization known as the Syndicate. But the Syndicate has discovered his identity. Meanwhile, the IMF is dissolved and the head of the CIA is after Hunt and doesn’t believe the Syndicate exists. When Benji gets free tickets to the Vienna opera in the mail he meets up with his old friend Ethan.

This is a superior action movie — always exciting, with just the right amount of humour.

The scene where Tom Cruise is hanging onto the side of a plane when it takes off is thrilling.

The moment where Ethan and Benji run into Brant and Luther in Morocco is priceless.

Stars Rebecca Ferguson and Alec Baldwin. Directed by Christopher McQuarrie (Jack Reacher). The music by Joe Kraemer is glorious right from the first few seconds.

This is the 2nd time I’ve seen it. My previous review is here. Within the series, I previously reviewed Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol.
