Elf

{5/5} “Human, raised by humans.”

Elf, released in 2003

Buddy is a human but he was raised by elves — at the North Pole. When he finally discovers his true heritage, he decides to visit New York to visit his father. His father turns out to be a not-so-nice businessman who initially thinks Buddy is a crazy person. When he’s convinced that Buddy is really his son, he reluctantly lets him stay at his house.

It’s screamingly funny — Will Farrell is brilliant in his role as Buddy.

It will also get you in the Christmas mood.

Stars James Caan, Mary Steenburgen, Edward Asner, and Bob Newhart. Directed by Jon Favreau (Iron Man).

This is the 3rd time I’ve seen it. My previous review is here.
