{4.5/5} “A person can awaken from a coma convinced of a reality that was previously only fantasy.”

Unknown, released in 2011

Martin Harris arrives with his wife Liz in Berlin for a biotechnology conference. He is in a coma for 4 days after being in an accident. After waking up he returns to the hotel. Without any identification, he has to get someone to vouch for him. He finds Liz, but she says she doesn’t know him — and she’s with someone else who says he’s Martin Harris.

The twist isn’t super surprising, but it does make sense.

The movie isn’t as intense as Non-Stop but it does have a nice mystery and Liam Neeson is always watchable. I felt January Jones wasn’t quite right for her part.

Stars Diane Kruger, Aidan Quinn, and Frank Langella. Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (Non-Stop). The mysterious music is by John Ottman and Alexander Rudd.
