Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist (season 1)

{5/5} “I don’t think we’re really joie de vivre people.”

Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist season 1, aired in 2020

When Zoey is having an MRI while listening to music during an earthquake she gains a special power — she hears and sees people singing songs about their feelings. She tries to user her power to help people. Meanwhile, she is a coder who is up for a promotion to team leader. She connects with Simon — whom she has a crush on, but finds out he’s engaged. Then she discovers that her best friend Max is in love with her.

This show is astonishingly unique. With a brilliant premise and actors who are capable of anything, you won’t be able to stop watching.

All the actors are talented singers and dancers — the dance numbers are delightful.

The name of the place where they work is Sprqpoint.

Jane Levy is perfect in her mannerisms and expressions, and Lauren Graham is screamingly funny. Mary Steenburgen and Peter Gallagher are, unsurprisingly, brilliant.

Stars Skylar Astin, Alex Newell, and John Clarence Stewart.

Created by Austin Winsberg (Jake in Progress).

You’re going to run out of episodes soon if you do it that way. 🙂
