The best day of 2020

The day that Joe Biden was declared president elect was the best day of 2020 for millions of people. It’s a great day, not just for the US but for the world. There should have been a blue wave, but this result is infinitely better than the alternative. Now we can approach the future with more hope — we can see that possibilities exist for the world banding together to solve the problems of the 21st century.

How do Americans feel about it? Here’s one articulate American, John Scalzi. He talks about voter turnout, polling, the lack of Trump’s concession, and horrible Republicans.

As for what Democrats should do going forward, David Brin has some ideas. Someone should really get them in the hands of legislators.

I’d like to give Greta Thunberg the last word on this election.
