Arrested Development (season 1)

{5/5} “There’s always money in the banana stand.”

Arrested Development season 1, aired in 2003-04

Michael Bluth thought that when his dad, George Sr., retired he would be taking over the company, as he’d been working hard there for years. But when his dad is arrested and his mom is given control of the company, Michael decides he’s had enough of his family and will go elsewhere. The rest of the family is extremely incompetent, but they manage to convince him to stick around to take care of the company — plus his son George Michael expresses a desire to be near family as well.

This is one of the funniest shows ever.

My favourite character is Buster.

Guest stars include Henry Winkler, Liza Minnelli, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Amy Poehler.

Stars Jason Bateman, Tony Hale, and Jeffrey Tambor.

Ron Howard is the narrator.

Created by Mitchell Hurwitz (Running Wilde).

This is the 2nd time I’ve seen it.

I previously reviewed season 4.
