Love, Death & Robots (season 3)
{4.5/5} “‘What exactly is a tech millionaire?’ ‘It’s a lot like a regular millionaire, but with a hoodie and crippling social anxiety.'”
Love, Death & Robots season 3, aired in 2022
In “Three Robots: Exit Strategies” the 3 robots continue their tour of some key spots for understanding the demise of humanity. In “The Very Pulse of the Machine” an astronaut whose vehicle crashes has to walk for miles dragging her dead colleague behind her. In “Swarm” two human scientists find out that some ancient alien creatures have more to them than it initially seems.
As always, the animation and music are splendid. And as always, there are a couple of horror episodes — I might not watch those ones again, but they are well done.
There’s some humour, but on the whole these are dark and disturbing stories.
Some episodes end abruptly — pretty much inevitable for stories that are typically 10 to 15 minutes.
Stars the voices of Gary Anthony Williams, Craig Ferguson, Seth Green, and Rosario Dawson.
Authors include John Scalzi, Michael Swanwick, and Bruce Sterling. Directors include David Fincher and Tim Miller.
I previously reviewed season 2.
