The Adam Project
{4.5/5} “That’s a lightsaber, dude.”
The Adam Project, released in 2022
Adam lives in 2050 and intends to travel back in time to 2018. He hits 2022 instead and runs into his younger self, who’s 12. The older self flies time jets, and the younger self gets bullied at school and is grieving the loss of his father. Eventually he reveals that his wife Laura didn’t come back from her last jump to 2018 and that’s why he’s going there.
I like when Adam and Laura are running toward each other to hug, and Laura pushes Adam out of the way in order to punch out a bad guy.
It’s about trying to fix mistakes that are more important than your own personal life.
It’s the most fun you will have watching a movie today.
Ryan Reynolds is delightful, and Walker Scobell does a fine job acting as a younger version of him.
Stars Jennifer Garner, Mark Ruffalo, Zoe Saldana, and Catherine Keener. Directed by Shawn Levy (Free Guy).
