Do Revenge

{4.5/5} “You know, I pride myself on this uncanny ability to spot and nurture talent. Well, maybe not directly nurture but, you know, I can see it and then I delegate the nurturing.”

Do Revenge, released in 2022

Drea’s private video was leaked by her boyfriend — she punched him and got put on probation by her school’s headmaster. Drea meets Eleanor at summer camp and finds out she has a similar story of someone she trusted who betrayed her. That person is at Drea and Eleanor’s school in the fall. Although they can’t get revenge on the people they want to get revenge on, maybe they could trade.

It’s funny and clever. It’s about exposing hypocrisy.

I like how Eleanor calls Drea “revenge mommy.”

There’s a twist 3/4 of the way through.

It was very nice to see Sarah Michelle Gellar, even if it’s in the small role of the headmaster.

Stars Maya Hawke and Camila Mendes. Directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson (Someone Great). The soundtrack is full of pop songs.
