Spectral
{4.5/5} “‘She’s hoping it’s cloaking technology. What do you think it is?’ ‘Something none of us have thought of yet.'”
Spectral, released in 2018
Clyne invented a new type of goggles for soldiers to use on the battlefield. Now soldiers are seeing things on the goggles that they won’t be specific about — he has to go to them to check it out. It turns out that 3 soldiers saw ghostly figures — but a 4th was killed by one. The general in charge wants Clyne to figure out what they are and what they can do about them. Clyne goes into the field to see what he can see.
The actions of the soldiers seem realistic, working perfectly in tandem.
It’s about using science to solve your problem, even if it’s a spooky one.
One or two things don’t make sense, but it’s worth watching.
Stars James Badge Dale, Emily Mortimer, and Bruce Greenwood. Directed by Nic Mathieu (his 1st movie). The action-y music is by Tom Holkenborg.
