Author discovery of the year

Here’s an update to this list. This past year was an outstanding one for new authors. The big winner is Annalee Newitz for The Future of Another Timeline. Runner ups include Andy Weir for Project Hail Mary, Brandon Sanderson for Elantris, Matt Ruff for Lovecraft County, and Alix E. Harrow for The Ten Thousand Doors of January.
