The Spy Who Dumped Me

{4.5/5} “‘Do you want to die having never been to Europe, or do you want to go to Europe and die having been to Europe?’ ‘Why are those my only two options?'”

The Spy Who Dumped Me, released in 2018

Audrey’s boyfriend Drew dumped her just before his birthday and her friend Morgan tells her to burn his stuff. But then people from the CIA pull Audrey into a van and tell her that Drew is really a spy. When Drew returns out of nowhere, he gets killed — but he gives something to Audrey that she must take to Vienna and meet someone there tomorrow morning.

This is a very funny movie, and there are some great action sequences.

There are flashbacks to when Audrey and Drew first met.

Gillian Anderson, Jane Curtin, and Paul Reiser have small parts. Justin Theroux demonstrates in the opening scenes that he could be the new Jason Bourne.

Stars Mila Kunis, Kate McKinnon, and Hasan Minhaj. Directed by Susanna Fogel (Life Partners).
