Alice gets disability because of her borderline personality disorder but she has to go to a therapist. When she wins $86 million in the lottery she tells him she’s still going to see him, but she’s going off her meds. When she runs into some people who have a TV studio, she decides she wants her own show. She gives them $15 million to produce 100 episodes of a 2-hour show all about her.

Kristen Wiig is mesmerizing.

It’s very funny, but also suggests that we might have more empathy for people experiencing mental illness.

It’s about what happens when you have more trouble living life than the average person.
