Hatching Pete

{2/5} “The magic is in the mystery and once the mystery is gone, so is the magic.”

Hatching Pete, released in 2009

Cleatus wears a chicken suit as the Brewster High mascot but he’s allergic to it and doesn’t really want to do it. He convinces his best friend Pete to wear the suit and to keep it a secret. Pete then wows everyone with his antics as the chicken, and everyone of course thinks it’s Cleatus. In particular, Pete wants to tell a girl that he likes that it’s him in the suit.

I wouldn’t normally have watched this, but the young people I was watching it with were enjoying it — they have a different sense of humour than me.

It’s a pretty bad movie, though — there was really nothing interesting in any part.

Stars Jason Dolley and Mitchel Musso. Directed by Stuart Gillard (Bach’s Fight for Freedom).
