Babylon 5: The Road Home

{5/5} “Zathras warn, but no one listen to Zathras.”

Babylon 5: The Road Home, released in 2023

When John Sheridan leaves Babylon 5 to become the President of the Interstellar Alliance he goes to his new home on Minbar. He opens a new energy facility only to discover too late that it uses tachyons. He becomes unstuck in time. He sees Dr. Franklin in the future and then his Dad in the past. Franklin tells him that he must go back to Babylon 5 and find Zathras.

It’s OK if you haven’t seen anything in the Babylon 5 universe in a while — the opening scene will remind you of the situation.

This is the 1st Bablyon 5 show to be animated. It’s a nice way to continue the story since some of the actors have died. The station looks great, as do the characters.

It was very nice to see all the marvelous characters again, and Zathras is hilarious. It will remind you of how brilliant the show was.

Some of the events are astonishing, even if they do take place in alternate universes. It tells a beautiful story of friendship, sacrifice, and love.

Written by J. Michael Straczynski (co-creator of Sense8).

Stars the voices of Bruce Boxleitner, Claudia Christian, Peter Jurasik, and Bill Mumy. Directed by Matt Peters (Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons). The Babylon 5-flavoured music is by Kristopher Carter, Michael McCuistion, and Lolita Ritmanis.
