Futurama (season 7)

{4.5/5} “Well, I never liked going to Omicron Persei 8 anyway. If we want to breathe sulfuric acid and get our heads torn off by giant lizards, we can always go to Gary, Indiana.”

Futurama season 7, aired in 2012-13

Bender has a baby robot but doesn’t think he wants to be a farther, until the baby displays a love of bending. In the 3012 election Leela doesn’t want Nixon’s head to be president again so she volunteers for one of his rivals. When Bender becomes one of the paparazzi he discovers that famous actor Langdon Cobb is actually an alien who’s stealing people’s lifeforce. When Leela’s parents get divorced, her mom runs off to space with Zapp Brannigan.

There are some pretty strange episodes. In “Naturama” the show proceeds like a nature documentary with the main characters as animals. In “2-D Blacktop” some characters end up in a two-dimensional world. In “Saturday Morning Fun Pit” the show emulates kid’s TV shows like “Scooby-Doo.”

It’s another fun season.

Guest voices include Wanda Sykes, Dawnn Lewis, and Patrick Stewart.

I previously reviewed season 6.

I watched a few episodes of the new season 8 but it’s even less funny and less interesting.
