Adam befriends the new kid in class, Chloe. He even invites her and her family over to stay the night, because they don’t have a place to live. Their former teacher, a human, killed himself because he lost his job to the Vuuv. The Vuuv have kind of a funny look to them but they have taken over the Earth. Chloe takes Adam scavenging with her — looking for junk that’s worth something.
Once you start watching this movie, the two young actors will make you want to continue.
It’s a bit odd, but it turns out to be a great story. It has a terrific sense of humour.
William Jackson Harper has a welcome cameo.
Stars Asante Blackk, Tiffany Haddish, and Kylie Rogers. Directed by Cory Finley (Bad Education). The music by Michael Abels contains some nice piano parts and some distractingly over-the-top eerie parts.
