Nimona

{5/5} “I love the secret lair. The garbage and the smell of sadness really pull the whole thing together.”

Nimona, released in 2023

Now everyone thinks Ballister killed the queen, but he didn’t. Ballister goes into hiding but a kid named Nimona shows up wanting to be his sidekick.

This animated movie is lots of fun. It’s a unique world, and Nimona is hilarious.

It’s about people who have been conditioned to be afraid of monsters.

It’s thoroughly delightful.

Stars the voices of Chloƫ Grace Moretz and Riz Ahmed. Directed by Nick Bruno and Troy Quane (Spies in Disguise). The majestic music is by Christophe Beck.
