The Fugitive

{5/5} “What I want out of each and every one of you is a hard target search of every gas station, residence, warehouse, farmhouse, henhouse, outhouse, and doghouse in that area.”

The Fugitive, released in 1993

When Dr. Richard Kimble is convicted of the murder of his wife and sent to jail, the bus he’s on crashes. Now that he’s free, he will track down the murderer himself. He hopes that there are friends out in the world he can rely on that believe in his innocence. Meanwhile, Deputy Samuel Gerard is chasing him — and he’s very good at his job.

Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones are always delightful and here they are together in a gripping story.

I like how Kimble leads Gerard down the path of figuring out who the bad guys are.

It’s exciting and clever.

A fun behind-the-scenes note: they really crashed a train into a bus, and you can still see them — it’s a tourist attraction.

Stars Sela Ward, Julianne Moore, Joe Pantoliano, Andreas Katsulas, and Jeroen Krabbé. Directed by Andrew Davis (The Guardian). The music is by James Newton Howard.

This is the 3rd or 4th time I’ve seen it.
