Ludwig (season 1)

{5/5} “Wallpaper goes on walls. The clue’s in the name.”

Ludwig season 1, aired in 2024

John likes to solve and create puzzles, and he rarely leaves his house. His sister-in-law Lucy calls and tells him to come and that she’s called a taxi for him. She reveals that his twin brother James, a police officer, is missing but has left a mysterious letter. They shouldn’t believe or trust anyone from his department. Lucy wants John to pretend to be James and grab his files from work.

Its tone is a bit like Castle — solving murder with humour.

I like how John solves a murder by looking at is as a logic puzzle.

The story comes to a semi-conclusion, but a season 2 would be very nice.

It’s a delightful show.

Stars David Mitchell and Anna Maxwell Martin.

Created by Mark Brotherhood (Worst Year of My Life, Again!).
