The Wild Robot

{4.5/5} “A Rozzum always completes its task.”

The Wild Robot, released in 2024

When a Rozzum robot wakes up all it wants to do is help people. But there are no people around, only animals. When it gets struck by lightning, it finds raccoons playing with a bunch of its body parts. When it finds an egg, it tries to protect it until the gosling hatches. Then it tries to return to the factory. Before it can do that, a possum gives it a task — protect the newborn gosling.

This is a delightfully animated movie.

It’s very funny. The possums playing dead are hilarious.

It’s about exceeding your programming.

Directed by Chris Sanders (How To Train Your Dragon).
