Tales from the Loop (season 1)

{5/5} “Sometimes things are special because they don’t last.”

Tales from the Loop season 1, aired in 2020

People who live near the Loop see strange things — snow falling upward, a strangely textured rock that floats in mid-air. Loretta comes home from school to find her house gone, and now she’s looking for her mother. But when she goes to the place where she works, they say she doesn’t work there. She makes a friend, and he takes her to his place — but what she finds there is unbelievable.

This show has an amazing look to it — it’s based on the art of Swedish artist Simon StÃ¥lenhag.

It’s best if you don’t expect any explanation for the strange things — if you accept the strange things, then you’ll be treated to some startling and beautiful stories.

This was the only season.

Duncan Joiner plays Cole and Abby Ryder Fortson plays Young Loretta.

Stars Jonathan Price, Rebecca Hall, Paul Schneider, Ato Essandoh, and Dan Bakkedahl.

Created by Nathaniel Halpern (writer on Legion).
