Loki (season 2)

{4.5/5} “Thor’s not that tall.”

Loki season 2, aired in 2023

Loki is back at the TVA, but he keeps appearing and disappearing at different times. He tells Mobius about He Who Remains. Mobius takes him to a technician he hasn’t seen in 400 years who should be able to help. There are lots of branches in the timeline now — Mobius and Hunter B-15 convince the leaders that they shouldn’t prune the other timelines. Meanwhile, Sylvie has gone to 1982 and the first thing she does is eat at McDonald’s.

The 1st 5 episodes don’t quite have the same oomph as the 1st season. There’s some arguing about things neither side is sure about, and too much technobabble about the loom. I was hoping Loki and Sylvie would work together more.

But it’s also about being willing to work with people you’ve disagreed with, and being willing to make a sacrifice.

This is the last season — the finale is glorious.

Stars Ke Huy Quan, Wunmi Mosaku, and Eugene Cordero.

I previously reviewed season 1.
