Bodies

{5/5} “Know you are loved.”

Bodies, aired in 2023

In 2023 Sergeant Hasan finds a naked dead man with a symbol on his wrist and damage to one eye. In 1941 Sergeant Whiteman finds a dead man in the same spot — but instead of investigating the murder, he’s been paid to move the body. In 1890 Detective Inspector Hillinghead finds a dead man in the same spot. In all cases the man has been shot but the bullet is gone even though there’s no exit wound. When Hillinghead shows the coroner a photo of the dead man with a reflection of another man in the window, the coroner warns him to burn it.

This is a miniseries with a unique story of detectives who all do their best to pursue truth and justice.

Aside from 1 or 2 moments that don’t really make sense, it’s brilliant.

Stars Amaka Okafor, Kyle Soller, and Shira Haas.

Created by Paul Tomalin (writer on No Offence).
