George has been promoted to inspector, as both Inspector Brackenreid and Detective Murdoch are gone. William and Julia have been kidnapped and forced to work on a case — a powerful woman is going to be hanged for the murder of her husband. Brackenreid and his wife are on their way back from Europe. While they’re on the ship, one of the passengers is murdered. Detective Watts works on a case where a body has been dismembered.
When the Mona Lisa is stolen from the Louvre, it makes its way to Canada.
Murdoch runs into Emily Carr and Robert Borden.
Guest stars include R. H. Thompson, Ian D. Clark, and Bruce McCulloch.
Astonishingly, the last 3 seasons have had the most episodes ever, with 24 in each season.
