Forever (season 1)

{5/5} “Atonement can take many forms: a heartfelt apology, a grand gesture, a silent prayer, or something more complex, more grey, more difficult to decipher. And while it’s true that no amount of atonement can ever change the past, it does have the power to heal us, to restore relationships and connections we thought were lost forever.”

Forever season 1, aired in 2014-15

Henry is a medical examiner who often works with police officer Jo. He’s 200 years old but looks like he’s 35 — he’s immortal. He’s died a bunch of times but always comes back. He lives with Abe, who he raised as a son but now looks much older than him. He’s been trying to live life without attachments, but sometimes it’s tough. Then he starts getting calls from someone else who claims to be immortal.

This show tells a complete story in 1 season — a beautiful one.

There are lots of flashbacks to Henry’s life in other times and places.

It’s about hiding a secret from everyone around except the man you raised as a son.
