Curious Caterer: Foiled Plans

{4.5/5} “I must say it’s a little unsettling to have all these sharp weapons just out and about. This house would be a nightmare to child proof.”

Curious Caterer: Foiled Plans, released in 2024

Goldy is hosting a medieval ball in a real castle. The owner, Sir Alastair, is donating the use of it since it’s a fundraiser for a school. Goldy’s daughter Olive is part of a fencing demonstration. Goldy overhears Sir Alastair arguing with the fencing instructor — Alastair doesn’t think he can lead them to the gold medal. When dinner is about to start, Alastair falls over dead.

It’s another mysterious and fun story, and the scenes between Goldy and Tom are delightful. Marla is also hilarious. Olive gets in on the keeping-an-eye-on-people action.

One of the best moments is when they create a murder board — using a tapestry and drawings of people that Alastair’s assistant did.

Stars Eric Breker, Britt Good, and Vincent Gale. Directed by Paul Ziller (Curious Caterer: Fatal Vows).
