The Sheep Detectives
{5/5} “No, no, no. It was the gardener. Always cutting the grass but never eating any.’ ‘Yeah, suspicious.'”
The Sheep Detectives, released in 2026
George is a sheep farmer. He’s named all his sheep, and he reads them mystery stories. He doesn’t really think they understand him — but they do. They try to figure out who the killer is before the end of the book. When George himself is killed, the sheep try to figure out who did it — and there’s a town full of suspicious characters. When George’s will is going to be read, the sheep know they have to be there.
You know within the first few seconds this is going to be a fun movie. It’s such a nice surprise — and it’s hilarious.
I like how Tim makes a murder board, just like in Curious Caterer.
It might have some similarities with other shows that have murders or sheep, but the story is unique.
Stars Hugh Jackman, Emma Thompson, Molly Gordon, and Nicholas Braun. Also stars the voices of Patrick Stewart, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Chris O’Dowd, and Bryan Cranston.
Directed by Kyle Balda (Minions). The playful music is by Christophe Beck.
