Barb and Star lose their jobs at a department store when it closes. They are unsure where they might get another job, as it turns out neither have high school degrees. When a friend suggests they visit Vista Del Mar in Florida, they decide to go. They happen to run into a man who seems nice but unbeknownst to them is on a mission to kill everyone in town.
There are some hilarious parts in this movie. There are also parts that are very odd.
The storyline with Barb and Star is masterful, but the storyline with the villains is pretty silly.
Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo have crafted delightful characters and they are very funny together.
Stars Jamie Dornan, Damon Wayans Jr., and Phyllis Smith. Directed by Josh Greenbaum (the documentary Becoming Bond). The tropical flavoured music is by Christopher Lennertz and Dara Taylor.
