Honor Society

{5/5} “A flyer’s like a tweet that ruins the environment.”

Honor Society, released in 2022

Honor doesn’t reveal her real self to the world. She pretends to be interested in what everyone else is interested in. She hangs out with popular girls because that’s the best she can do. She’s a high school senior, and she’s ready to leave her home and her town. Her one goal is to go to Harvard. She is devastated to find that she’s only in her guidance counsellor’s top 4 choices for passing her name on to his friend at the school.

This movie is lots of fun.

It’s about figuring out how to be yourself.

Angourie Rice has the charisma needed to speak to the camera.

Written by David A. Goodman (The Autobiography of Jean-Luc Picard).

Stars Gaten Matarazzo, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Kelcey Mawema, and Avery Konrad. Directed by Oran Zegman (director of a bunch of shorts). The playful music is by Daniel Markovich and Ben Zeadman.
