The Muppets (season 1)

{4.5/5} “Kermit is the third most common frog name in America.”

The Muppets season 1, aired in 2015-16

Miss Piggy is a late-night talk show host. Kermit is the executive producer on her show, and the rest of the muppets also work on the show — Electric Mayhem is the house band. Kermit and Miss Piggy are no longer a couple. Kermit is dating Denise, a pig, and Fozzie is dating Becky, a human.

The show is mostly about what happens behind the scenes at “Up Late with Miss Piggy.” All of your favourite muppet characters are here. If you thought the movie The Muppets was funny, you’ll think this is funny.

This show is more funny and less silly than The Muppet Show. It’s done in the mockumentary style like Modern Family — it works very well.

My favourite character is Pepe the King Prawn.

Riki Lindholme plays Becky.

There are lots of guest stars who appear briefly, such as Laurence Fishburne, Nick Offerman, Reese Witherspoon, and Elizabeth Banks.

Created by Bill Prady (The Big Bang Theory) and Bob Kushell (Normal, Ohio).

I previously reviewed the movie Muppets Most Wanted.

This show was later cancelled, so the 1st season is the only season.
