Logan

{4.5/5} “Don’t be what they made you.”

Logan, released in 2017

In the future Logan and Charles are all that’s left of the X-Men, and they’re not doing so well. They run into a girl named Laura who has the same powers as Logan. Of course, some not-so-nice people are after her. They hear about a place called Eden where mutants are taking sanctuary, and decide to take Laura there.

It’s violent, but it also has a good story. It’s about people figuring out how to be when life is very difficult.

Relative newcomer Dafne Keen does a tremendous job as Laura.

Hugh Jackman has said this will be his last film as Wolverine. He wanted to go out on a high note and not have audiences get tired of him — he succeeded.

Stars Patrick Stewart. Directed by James Mangold (The Wolverine). The mysterious music is by Marco Beltrami.
