Parks and Recreation (season 3)

{5/5} “I won’t publicly endorse a product unless I use it exclusively and I really believe in it. My only official recommendations are US Army issued moustache trimmers, Morton’s Salt, and the C.R. Lawrence fine two inch style oscillating knife blade.”

The entire Pawnee government shuts down because it’s out of money, but after 3 months everyone is back at work. Leslie organizes a harvest festival after many years of not having one — she also starts dating someone she’s not supposed to. Ron and Andy coach basketball, Tom invents a cologne, Jerry creates a controversial painting, Ben gives April and Andy advice on how to be adults, and Chris reorganizes the department in a way that no one likes.

Parks and Recreation season 3 originally aired in 2011, starting where season 2 left off.

This continues to be a very funny show, and I found this season better than ever — perhaps having something to do with the fact that now we know the characters pretty well.

Rob Lowe (the TV show The West Wing) plays Chris and Adam Scott (the TV show Party Down) plays Ben.

Ben Schwartz (the web series Jake and Amir) plays Tom’s friend Jean-Ralphio who has lots of money but not much sense. Parker Posey (Best in Show) stops by as Leslie’s former best friend who moved to rival town Eagleton.
